Borderline Designs began in 2010 when I started experimenting with screen printing in my basement. Since then it has been my personal creative outlet to make and create designs. Lately I have been deeply exploring sewing and prototyping of outdoor gear, including backpacks, hats, bike frame bags and running vests. Always built on the desire to experience the process of making things, BLD has been a creative pursuit free from outside restrictions and limitations. I am still simply trying to figure out how to best make the gear that I use regularly, while incorporating my own creativity in the process. Everything at this point is built completely from raw materials, and every piece I make is a unique design. Material research and prototyping for fit, function and durability has been a rewarding process that is never ending. Borderline designs has never been about high quantities or making money, but about embracing the process of simply making things.
